Film Distribution Business

SPEJ’s film distribution group distributes movies created by SPE’s Motion Picture Group, which includes five film labels: Columbia Pictures, TriStar Pictures, Screen Gems, Sony Pictures Animation and Sony Pictures Classics. SPE’s film library encompasses more than 3,500 theatrical films including 12 Best Picture Academy Award winners. In addition, SPEJ distributes sublicensed or acquired Japanese and foreign films.

Television Distribution Business

SPEJ licenses products from SPE’s library to broadcasting stations and on-demand service providers in Japan. SPE’s library consists of more than 3,500 theatrical films, over 50,000 episodes of serial programs and 22,000 episodes of reality shows, including many Emmy and Golden Globe Award winners.

Television Network Business

SPEJ’s television networks division represents SONY group channels, including Animax, Kids Station, AXN, AXN Mystery and Music on! TV, in distribution deals with CATV, IPTV and other media platforms.
