映画生誕から100年以上の年月が過ぎ、コロンビア映画も創立から87年、ソニー・ピクチャーズ エンタテインメントの誕生からは20年を越えました。私共は、1933年のコロンビア映画日本支社開設以来、数々の思い出に残る作品を日本のお客様にお届けしてまいりました。
ソニー・ピクチャーズ エンタテインメントは、優れたエンタテインメントである“映画”をお客様に提供することを軸として、映画及びテレビ番組の製作、配給、ＤＶＤおよびブルーレイ・ディスクなどのパッケージ・メディアの発売・販売、ＣＳチャンネルの運営、その他エンタテインメント・サービスの開発を行ない、お客様のニーズに合わせた多岐に渡る事業を展開しております。

The history of motion pictures dates back over a hundred years, and Columbia Pictures has celebrated its 87th anniversary. Sony Pictures Entertainment(Japan)lnc., for its part, has passed its 20th anniversary. Since the opening of Columbia Pictures' Japan office in 1933, we have provided a countless array of memorable films for the entertainment of Japanese audiences.
In order to deliver outstanding entertainment, we have been involved in the production and distribution of movies and TV programs, release and sales of package media such as DVDs and Blu-ray Discs™, the operation of CS (communication satellite) channels, and also development of other entertainment services that meet the needs of customers.
Sony Pictures Entertainment will further strive to offer highly original works of entertainment via an assortment of media and broadcasting channels, within the context of the technical prowess, content, and global network Sony Group possesses. We hope to contribute to the further development of "visual entertainment" by creating and providing content that deeply moves and inspires people of Japan, Asia, and the entire world.
